  Chuck Franklin Glass Studio

Hello, I'm Chuck Franklin.

Welcome to the Chuck Franklin Glass Studio web site!

Founded in 1974, Chuck Franklin Glass Studio is located in Northwest Portland, Oregon.

Our products include stained, leaded, and beveled glass windows, light fixtures, and skylights, along with sandblasted, fused, and mosaic glass.

  McCormick & Schmick's Restaurants

I did my first work for Bill McCormick in 1975, when he had one restaurant, “Jakes”, in Portland.  He soon joined with Doug Schmick and McCormick and Schmick’s was born.  As they have built many restaurants over the years, we have provided them with a variety of glasswork that includes windows, light fixtures, sconces, and skylights.  Often the work is site specific, featuring people, places, or things of interest in that area.

In our work for M&S, we also work closely with the following businesses:

Manion Company Furniture and Millwork
KH Lighting Electric and Metal Fabrication
Fireart Glass Custom Glass and Slumping
Sidwell Fabrication Metal Fabrication

The following restaurants operate under the M&S banner:

Jake’s
Jake’s Grill
McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant
Harborside
McCormick’s Fish House
McCormick & Kuleto’s
M & S Grill
Jimmy’s on K Street

  Custom Commercial & Residential Glasswork

Comprised of several artists and craftspeople, our studio produces custom glasswork for both commercial and residential clients.

Our longest running client is McCormick & Schmick’s Management Group, which has worked with our studio since 1975 on most of its restaurants nationwide.

Designs - Client, Blueprint, & Original

Our studio works from client designs, blueprints, or often develops original designs.  A large library of our previous work can also be used for ideas.  From conception to installation, we can meet all needs of a project.

Fortunately, the Pacific Northwest is a region rich in glass manufacturing, so we have easy access to some of the world’s finest hand-made and machine-made glass.

  Pricing, Shipping, & Options

Pricing is based on a variety of factors including types of glass, bevels, jewels, complexity of design, and amount of designing, engineering, or installation required for a project.

Our studio can crate and ship our work to any location and a cost can be provided for that.

Please contact us for more details, approximate costs per square foot or any other questions you may have.
